New baby blanket "Baby Blues"

This time with a skein of Malabrigo worsted in a turquoise blue (98 Tuareg).

and voila...

PATTERN

Cast on 68 st, with US9 or 10.5 (depending on how tight you are knitting)

Knit in garter (all knit) for 8 rows

right side, knit all stitches
then on wrong side, knit 6, (purl 6, knit 4) 5 times, purl 6, knit 6
on right side, knit all stitches
following wrong side, knit 6, purl 1 (knit 4, purl 6) 5 times, Knit 4, purl 1, knit 6

repeat these 4 rows 21 times

finish with 8 rows of garter st and bind off.

My little tip
Make sure you do 2 extra border rows of go and back garter every 10 rows for the side border. It means only on these 6 stitches on each side of the border, you do 2 extra rows.
Hope it is clearer now ☺
It will even with the stockinette stitch, otherwise, the border will looks squizzed.

Also, blocking will make your blanket even and bigger, even a more professional look.

Feel free to leave a comment, it is always fun
Pour la version francaise c'est part ICI

Enjoy!! Part 4 is coming soon...
