Logwood yarn dyeing, results

Very nice variety of purple shades depending on the time each yarn stayed in the logwood dyeing bath

Recipe:
✏ Samples of 25 g each of mordanted Cascades 220 worsted (about a dozen to start with)
✏ About 15 g of logwood powder in 5 liters of water
✏ Put 1 skein every 10 minutes in a large pot,
✏ Remove all skeins after 130 minutes.
The first 3 to 4 skeins are really dark and little by little the skeins get lighter.

Logwood yarn dyeing

Still playing with natural dyeing, this time with logwood

First we did a lot of testing, filling the pot with 25g skeins one every 10 minutes

Ten when the dyeing was at a good purple color, I put an entire skein of Malabrigo worsted

Voila!!

And a new Newborn Baby Blanket was born!!
