New baby blanket - Sweet Valentine

The latest of the baby blanket called "Sweet Valentine" due to this vibrant Raspberry Sorbet color you want literally munch on. This time I tried a new yarn, Madelinetosh Merino DK, in Vermilion color.
I always like to knit garter stitches for baby blankets but it is a bit boring to knit 100 garter stitch row so I designed it with a little twist

the "Sweet Valentine" blanket is available for purchase in my Etsy store

Blanket size is 50 by 50 cm, or 23 by 23 inches
Supply: 1 skein of MadelineTosh Merino DK

Tutorial

Cast on 79 st, with US9

Knit in garter (all knit) for 7 rows
Wrong side, knit 4, (purl 1, knit 6) 10 times, purl 1, knit 4
Then on right side, knit all stitches
Repeat these 2 rows 50 times
Finish with 6 rows of garter st and bind off.

Christmas gift, part 3

Last but not list, this Christmas gift is for a dear friend who always think of bringing me something wherever she travels!!

We had gone shopping at the mall one day together and she loved a slouchy hat at Urban Outfitters but the quality wasn't worth the price so I decided to knit one for her and add a matching cowl.

Pattern hat was easily found on Ravelry and the cowl is just the same pattern but not decreasing, just bind off.

Yarn is Madelinetosh Tosh DK, color Dalia

She loves purple, I love cable!!
