Fun dyeing . . . going wrong???

I had fun dyeing with one color but even more when mixing colors and see how it ends up

1. RB lemonade (Kool-aid) and smidgen of Sand Dune (Dharma dye)
2. Berry blasting cherry (Kool-aid) and smidgen of Salmon (Jacquard dye)
3. Smidgen of Twilight grey (Dharma dye) and dust of Teal (Jacquard dye)
4. Grape (Kool-aid) and smidgen of Burgundy (Jacquard dye)
5. Smidgen of Fawn (Dharma dye)
6. Smidgen of Green Juniper (Wilton food coloring)
7. Smidgen of royal blue (Jacquard dye)

All skeins are 25 g and dye mix dissolved in  100 ml of hot water.

✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿ ✿

I pour in the mix little by little in the large ball,
remove the yarn,
pour a little again,
cook in microwave
and let it stand until water is clear.

but for the no 6, I forgot to remove the yarn
before pouring the mix and voila...

... horrible camouflage color instead of a nice light green forest color.

Despite this skein, I like the rest of the color.
The kool-aid helps to bring light to acid dye colors and a nice smell.
The yarn remains soft despite me torturing it many times
I will be mixing again various dyes.

2nd bash

I took the same yarn I had "dust dye" last week and
pour a smidgen of the dye in 100 ml of hot water.
Dye was applied on now a 20g mini skeins.

I like the result with Dharma dye

It is not exactly like the picture on the web site
but overall it is colors I can enjoy

I can't wait to dye more on large skeins.

New baby blanket - Sweet Valentine

The latest of the baby blanket called "Sweet Valentine" due to this vibrant Raspberry Sorbet color you want literally munch on. This time I tried a new yarn, Madelinetosh Merino DK, in Vermilion color.
I always like to knit garter stitches for baby blankets but it is a bit boring to knit 100 garter stitch row so I designed it with a little twist

the "Sweet Valentine" blanket is available for purchase in my Etsy store

Blanket size is 50 by 50 cm, or 23 by 23 inches
Supply: 1 skein of MadelineTosh Merino DK

Tutorial

Cast on 79 st, with US9

Knit in garter (all knit) for 7 rows
Wrong side, knit 4, (purl 1, knit 6) 10 times, purl 1, knit 4
Then on right side, knit all stitches
Repeat these 2 rows 50 times
Finish with 6 rows of garter st and bind off.

Mina little star sweater

It first started here,  inspired when my little cousin Mina was born.
This little star sweater is ultra soft in pure merino lace yarn.
Pure joy on delicate little baby skin.
Light weight but very warm just over a onesie.

I enjoyed designing the little star sweater with little details
like a shinning star and helbow patches,
it is also easy to put on with a shoulder opening.

Yarn, Malabrigo lace, color Pearl ten and natural
Pattern, my own, currently in testing
Size, 3 to 6 months

I picked the pearl color and the smaller size for the first sweater
but they should soon come in 5 colors and
4 sizes (3-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months)
