A little story of . . . Liberty of London

I am venturing into sewing,   little by little,   because it overwhelms me every time I pull my sewing machine

Liberty of London fabric, June meadow navy from Drygoods Designs
Finally a nice store for my favorite fabric...

I wanted to make a scarf so I bought 2 pieces of 1/2 yard each

I washed the fabric, let it dry
Then iron it a little, with a mix of tap water and my perfume
Then I folded the fabric, right side face to face and sew about 1/2 cm seam.
Return the fabric on right side and iron again

Repeat for the 2nd scarf!!

Christmas gift, part 1

A little order for my friend's wife, long and large scarf and 4 colors, a little bit challenging, I have to say!!
✏ Hat, a little slouchy...
My own pattern, sorry I didn't take notes.

✏ Scarf, very long...200 cm, 25 cm large
My own pattern, cast on 43 sts, with US8 needles, hold 2 strands together
Row 1, knit all
Row 2, knit 1, purl 1
Repeat these 2 rows until end of the balls
then change to next color.
Once at the end of last color, bind off.

Little Christmas gifts

Little pleasure in life, knitting christmas gifts for friends...

Pattern hat, Renfrew from Jane Richmond
Yarn, The Fibre company Canopy worsted, color Blue crown
Great yarn, super soft and loved the pattern easy going and perfect fit

Pattern cowl, my own with same pattern of stitches as the hat
Yarn, The Fibre company Canopy Fingering, double, color blue crown
Same great yarn but thinner, wanted a lighter effect since we live in sunny California.
